2.2 What JavaScript Does Today

JavaScript is everywhere! It helps with:

• Front-end websites: Tools like React and Vue help make websites interactive.
• Back-end servers: With Node.js, JavaScript also works behind the scenes.
• Mobile apps: React Native helps developers create apps for both iOS and Android.
• Web apps: Sites like Gmail, Google Docs, and Slack use JavaScript to work smoothly.

Without JavaScript, none of this would exist, and the web would be very different.

Many browser games today are built using JavaScript. Without it, we’d still be using slow and clunky tools like Flash for games.
